Refund and Returns Policy

NEED TO RETURN AN ITEM?

Please keep in mind; all items are vintage, pre-loved, upcycled, restored or handmade. As with all vintage items any minor wear marks give the piece character and form part of its unique story. We endeavour to declare any distinct product faults, however there might be signs of minor wear.

Please check all photos and product description prior to purchasing, as we endeavour to declare any distinct product faults for your convenience. If you wish to enquire further about the condition of a specific item prior to purchasing, please contact us via support@thevintageark.com.

HOW DO I RETURN AN ITEM? 

If you want to return a product, please contact us via support@thevintageark.com. Return requests must be emailed to us within 7 working days of delivery of your product. Please note: only regular priced items may be refunded, sale items cannot be refunded. We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.

In your email, please include a photo of your item and the product number, which you can find on your proof of purchase slip that was included with your delivery. Also include a description of why you are returning the item and photographs of any faults.

Once your return request is accepted, we will notify you via email with further details and a return address. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item.

We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item as deliveries are made by third party services. You may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance for more expensive items.

IF I RETURN AN ITEM, WILL I GET A STORE CREDIT OR A REFUND? 

Once a returned item has been received, you will receive a store credit (valid for 12 months), with the exception of faulty items, where a refund may be provided. A refund will only be honoured after 7 working days from receipt of goods. We are unable to refund initial and return postage charges (with the exception of faulty items).

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PROCESS MY RETURN? 

Once we have received a returned item, your store credit or refund will be processed within 7-10 business days. You will be notified via email at the address listed on your account when this transaction has taken place. Please note that your banking institution may require additional days to process and post this transaction to your account once they have received the information from us.

The Vintage Ark cannot be held liable for the loss of items being returned. We recommend using a registered post service to return goods, and keeping a record of the tracking details.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 7-10 business days.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at admin@thevintageark.com.

GIFTS

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.
